0.5K Oktoberfest Fun Run Details

Join the Elm Grove Community Foundation and presenting sponsor Honest Teeth, along with your fellow underachievers for an hour of glory and celebration to kick off Elm Grove's Annual Oktoberfest! The "race” will start at O'Donoghue's Irish Pub and will finish....well, at 3:45 P.M. at the Oktoberfest beer tent! SPACE IS LIMITED SO REGISTER NOW!

Our 0.5K is a tongue-in-cheek event that lampoons the typical 5K run. This race is more of a walk/run beer parade from O'Donoghue's Irish Pub to the Village Park Oktoberfest grounds to kick off Saturday’s festivities.

Children are encouraged to participate and will enjoy root beer along the course. Adults over 21 will enjoy some brews along the way.

Race proceeds will benefit the Elm Grove Community Foundation.

About the Race

The "Race" will start at O'Donoghue's Irish Pub. Check-in will take place in the parking lot at 2:00 P.M. and the "race" will start promptly at 3:30 P.M.

During the race, you will enjoy three beer stations:

  1. Our outstanding friends at O'Donoghue's will provide all participants with a free beer (beer-aid station #1 of 3) before the start of the race, so get there early.

  2. The "race" will start by heading across Watertown Plank, down Elm Grove Street, to Juneau. At the corner of Legion and Juneau (beer-aid station #2 of 3) participants must stop for one more beer, sponsored by our friends at Leinenkugel's.

  3. The "Race" will continue into the village park where you will finish in a blaze of glory at the Oktoberfest beer tent (beer-aid station #3) where the Elm Grove Community Foundation will offer a free beer to celebrate the end of the race.

It is in our beer tent where the magic happens because now that you are a "Finisher," you can take a whole bunch of selfies, post them all over social media, and generally remind all of your friends just how superior of an athlete you are.
